This class session will be devoted to the second half of Tolstoi’s novel.

The two presenters are:

1) Sam – (assessment).  at beginning, then after the discussion: Critical reactions. Cinema and other versions  What did our discussion omit?

2) Weyland – The work, its themes, characters, with emphasis on history.          Lead discussion.

Screening  War and Peace – Soviet Film version, to end.
