Questions and Answers

• Who is eligible to participate? TESOL students
• When is the program? J-Term 2019
• When do I need to apply? Fall 2018, TBA application date
• Is this a credit-bearing program? TBA
• Is this a faculty-led program? TBA
• What is academic support available? The program leader will offer pre-departure orientation sessions, additional advising as requested, and be present for all classroom activities during the on-site portion of the program. If you have any concerns, please reach out.
• How long is the program? 2-3 weeks
• Do I need to arrange my own travel? Yes, participants will be responsible for booking their own round-trip plane ticket and ground transportation.
• Where will the program participants be staying? Participants will be housed at a hotel near UCR campus. Current program costs are based on shared accommodations with other program participants.
• How much does the program cost? Are there scholarships? TBA
• Is Spanish a requirement? No, while it is helpful to know some Spanish while traveling, it is not required. This is only used as a determining factor the number of applicants exceeds the program capacity. 
• Can I travel on my own in Costa Rica before or after the program? Yes
