2024 Summer Undergraduate Fellow Spotlight: Dana Leib-Perry

Dana Leib-Perry is a rising senior at Middlebury College where he is studying political science and history. While he has only recently begun to explore his interest in International Relations, his desire to study the topic stems from studies of the Cold War and the nuclear fearmongering that is ever-present following Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, as well as rising tensions in the Middle East. Furthermore, he was inspired to conduct research on the topic of nuclear nonproliferation after a semester-long research project on the long-term effects of uranium mining on Indigenous populations of the American Southwest. Dana’s past experiences were not related to international politics, and involved work with campaigns and voter outreach, as well as the study of Congress and American politics. He is excited to learn something new and to conduct interesting and engaging research with the James Martin Center. Outside of academics, Dana enjoys running, playing games with friends, and is a member of the quadball (quidditch) and logrolling clubs on campus.
