2024 Summer Undergraduate Fellow Spotlight: Berkley Pelletier

Berkley Pelletier is a rising senior at American University. He is pursuing a major in International Studies with a focus on Global Security, Conflict Resolution, and East Asia. Berkley recently completed his second semester abroad in Taipei, Taiwan, studying Chinese and cross-strait relations. He became interested in non-proliferation issues while researching the wide-ranging threats of nuclear terrorism, as well as the development of weapons programs in China, Pakistan, and India. He is especially interested in the role of nuclear weapons when it comes to Taiwan, China, and the US in the Pacific. This fall, Berkley will be interning for the China Office of the US Department of Commerce and continuing his studies in Washington, DC. In his free time, Berkley enjoys writing, running, and embarking on somewhat perilous hikes.
