Eliza King Freedman is a rising junior at Middlebury College studying Political Science with minors in Arabic and Art History. Eliza interned at the MIIS Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism in the fall of 2020, and she has taken multiple classes on the robotization of conflict and global insurgency at Middlebury. Academically, she is specifically interested in the Middle East and the role that nuclear proliferation plays in the politics of the region. This coming fall, Eliza will be studying abroad at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco through Middlebury’s Arabic immersion program. Outside of academics, she is a member of the women’s squash team at Middlebury and is an Arts and Culture Editor for the Middlebury Campus, her college’s newspaper.
