Loleï Brenot is a rising senior at the University of Southern California pursuing a double major in International Relations and French. As an Air Force ROTC Cadet, she hopes to serve as an Air Force Intelligence Officer upon graduating and commissioning. Her interests include national security, nuclear weapons policy, and the region of West Africa.
On campus, she is a research assistant for USC Security and Political Economy Lab on its Weapons of Mass Destruction Team, for which she has compiled a database of modern instances of chemical weapon usage. In the past, she has interned at the Naval Postgraduate School under the Department of Defense’s Combatting Terrorism Fellowship Program and served as a legislative intern in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Jimmy Panetta. This summer, she is interning virtually for the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University, in addition to her CNS Undergraduate Nonproliferation Fellowship.
