“The CNS internship provides the unique opportunity to not only contribute to the organization’s overall operations, but to learn an immense amount about nonproliferation in all areas. It provides the opportunity to ask questions of and learn from top-level experts in the field. You are constantly encouraged to take what you learn and apply it, resulting in very detailed research which is beneficial both for you and your future career goals. CNS also provides the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research. For example, I worked on a project that was looking at disruptive technologies, specifically 3D printing, and WMD production. I truly did not expect to be able to work on this type of project coming in, and it was a truly amazing experience to be able to contribute to a project that was providing new research that is necessary in the growing nonproliferation field.”
