Who I am
I am a recent graduate of Middlebury College
in Vermont, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Italian Studies. I took on year off to work for a Fortune 500 Company and am now pursuing a Masters Degree in Localization, Translation, Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. My main focus is Localization, more specifically, with the objective of finding alternative ways to implement it in my home country of Italy.
What I have done
My work experience consists of freelance and translation, revision, proofreading and interpretation for international organizations, private companies and individuals, both in my home country and abroad. Some of my previous employers include Welocalize, Rome’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage in collaboration with UNESCO, and Middlebury College.
In my experience as a linguist for these institutions, I have translated and proofread, into both my native language Italian and English, various documents in fields such as history and architecture, law, finance, and social development.
What I am like
During my professional life and education, I have integrated and led virtual and in-person multicultural and multilingual teams. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds in challenging and fast-paced environments. I like stepping out of my comfort zone and am a proactive, problem-solving, detail-oriented team player.
I am a people person and am passionate about languages (I speak four: Italian, English, Spanish and French), technology, photography and art, traveling, and learning about different cultures.
