Dropping Keys

Professional Development for Awesome Language Educators

About the Dropping of Keys

This is the Spring 2013 Practicum in the MATFL/MATESOL programmes at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.  Our theme is taken from the Persian poet Hafiz, who wrote:

“The small man builds cages for everyone he knows. While the sage, who has to duck his head when the moon is low, keeps dropping keys all night long for the beautiful, rowdy prisoners.”

We are thirteen language education professionals engaged in processes of individual and collaborative development through processes including peer coaching, Julian Edge’s Speaker-Understander model, and writing this blog.
