Hertz Fellowship Info Session Aug 17

Are you a STEM student interested in a PhD? The Hertz Fellowship empowers the nation’s most promising doctoral students in science and technology to pursue research that best advances US security and economic vitality. Hertz Fellows receive up to five years of funding offering flexibility from the traditional constraints of graduate training and the independence to innovate. They join an influential network of peers, providing a unique engine for professional development and collaboration. (Eligible applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.)

The 2024 Hertz Fellowship application opens on Monday, August 14, 2023. Hertz is hosting an online information session for prospective applicants on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. eastern. Registration is required to attend.

McCall MacBain Scholarship for Graduate Study at McGill University Now Open

Applications are now open for the McCall MacBain Scholarships

This program brings together students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. We will offer up to 130 scholarships and awards valued at more than $3.3 million to candidates who demonstrate exceptional character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. Two-thirds of these scholarships are for Canadian students, and one-third for international students.
 
What does the McCall MacBain Scholarship cover?
Tuition and fees for one of 150+ eligible masters programs at McGill University
A living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms
A relocation grant and summer funding options
Mentors, advisors, and coaching
A leadership development program
Up to 10 fully-funded McCall MacBain Scholarships, 25 finalist awards of $20,000, and 15 regional awards of $10,000 are available for international candidates.

September 27, 2023 is the deadline for students to submit their applications.

Knight-Hennessy Scholarship Application Now Open; Deadline Oct 11

We’re also excited to announce that the application to join the 2024 cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars is now open. Learn about upcoming admission eventsapplication requirements, and more on the KHS website.

The application is due by October 11, 2023 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.

Online scholar Q&A on July 6: Fauzan Reza Maulana (2020 cohort) from Indonesia answers your questions about what it’s like to be a KHS scholar and a Stanford graduate student. 

[New] Online application workshop on July 20: Already started your application? In an interactive session, an admission officer will walk you and other prospective scholars through the KHS application, highlighting requirements and sharing tips for navigating the admission process.

Summer Info Sessions for Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans (@PDSoros) is a $90,000 fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants going to graduate school in the United States. If you are an immigrant or child of immigrants who will be a college senior this fall, a college graduate who is applying to graduate school this fall, or someone in the first or second year of a graduate program you’ll be in during the 2024-2025 academic year, consider applying. You can be pursuing any type of professional or graduate degree—including master’s degrees, MFAs, JDs, PhDs, MDs, MBAs, MPPs, Marchs, and the list goes on! 

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans has two upcoming 30 minute virtual information sessions you can attend:
