Noah Mayhew

Noah Mayhew is a student in the Dual Degree in Nonproliferation Studies program of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).  Upon graduation, Noah will receive a master’s degree from MIIS in nonproliferation and terrorism studies, as well as one from MGIMO in international affairs with a specialization in WMD nonproliferation, nuclear policy and global security.  After graduation, Noah hopes to work in the fields of diplomacy, disarmament and nuclear energy between the United States and the Russian Federation.  Noah graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, majoring in public relations and a receiving a special citation in Russian studies.

Julia Diamond

Julia Diamond is a master’s degree candidate in the Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies (NPTS) program at MIIS. Before coming to MIIS Julia interned in Moscow at the Carnegie Moscow Center and the Center for Policy Studies in Russia (PIR Center). She graduated from Boston University in May of 2014 with a major in international relations and a minor in Russian. Julia’s interests lie in trying to help improve and keep the U.S.-Russian relationship at a level of sufficient stability and productivity through promoting and facilitating mutual understanding in the international security realm. Julia is a coordinator of the GIRS-NSO Dialogue Series and a graduate research assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS). She was a 2016 participant in the PIR Center’s International School on Global Security.

Adlan Margoev 

Adlan Margoev is a master’s degree candidate in the Dual Degree in Nonproliferation Studies program of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).  He earned his bachelor’s degree from MGIMO’s Faculty of International Relations, with a major in Iranian Studies.  He serves as the 2015-2016 President of the MGIMO Student Scientific Society (NSO).  Adlan speaks Russian, English and Persian, and hopes to pursue a career at the international level and make a personal contribution to WMD nonproliferation and counterterrorism.  Adlan is a coordinator of the GIRS-NSO Dialogue Series.
