About Me

From the time I was a child getting in trouble for reading at the dinner table to studying 19th century poetry in Paris as an adult, I have always had a passion for language, literature and words.

My appreciation for elegant yet concise writing that manages to find just the right word, phrase or tone to express the author’s intent motivated me to study English and French literature and later to enroll in the Middlebury Institue for International Studies, where I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Translation and Localization Management with a specialization in French translation. As I complete the degree program I will enhance my technology skills and my comprehension of localization, allowing me to apply my aptitude for writing in creating polished and refined translations that facilitate clear expression across the divides of language and culture.

I was born in Hilo, Hawaii but when I was five years old I moved to the SF Bay Area, where I have lived for most of my life. However, my immediate family still lives in Hawaii and I have been involved in Polynesian cultural activities and social issues since I was a child.
