Thanks for visiting my site!
Over the course of the Fall 2020 semester at Middlebury College, students in the Remote Sensing and Land Use course have completed a number of independent coding problems using Google Earth Engine. These problems focus on tree cover in several African nations: Malawi, Burkina Faso, and Rwanda.
My analyses focused on tree cover in Malawi. These Portfolio Problems attempt to reveal how tree cover has changed since the year 2000, how different landcover classification schematics portray tree cover, how satellite resolution factors into discerning tree cover, and how total tree cover varies with distance from urban/developed areas.
Please feel free to explore the various Portfolio Problem pages, which detail the analyses and results of each independent coding problem assigned in this course.
