allamah: In the book, it is what the character Syed al-Fadl is referred as. It is an honorary title given to scholars of Islamic fiqh, jurisprudence, and philosophy. It is commonly used in Sunni Islam and Shia Islam, and mostly in South Asia, Middle East and Iran.
tahajjud: In the book, the family of Sharjah’s prayed to find their family instead of doing this “night prayer.” It is a prayer performed by followers of Islam and one of the five obligatory prayers required of all Muslims.
