Taste Test at Cornwall this Friday – 5/3!

We are looking for volunteers for our upcoming taste test with local, in-season produce this Friday, May 3rd at Cornwall (Bingham Memorial School). This month we will be serving SMOOTHIES featuring May’s Vermont Harvest of the Month: mixed greens!

There will be two shifts: one prep shift from 11 – 11:45am, and one serving shift from 12:45 – 1:30pm. Please fill out this Google form by Thursday at 6pm if you would like to volunteer for either/both of these! 

Before the taste test, feel free to browse through the Vermont Harvest of the Month Curriculum to learn a little bit more about mixed greens​ and general VTHOM initiatives.

NOM x Relay for Life – SMOOTHIE MAKING!

We are looking for volunteers to help us make SMOOTHIES at the Relay for Life event this Sunday, April 28th from 2.30-3.30pm! If you are interested in volunteering (just for an hour!), please fill out this Google form.

A bit about Relay for Life … 

Relay for Life is a fundraising event that occurs every spring to fundraise money for the American Cancer Society. Join us now to CELEBRATE the lives of the survivors who are still battling cancer, REMEMBER those we have lost, and FIGHT BACK through promoting healthy lifestyles, providing information support, and funding cancer research!

Taste Test this Friday 4/15 at Mary Hogan!

We are looking for volunteers for a taste test with local, in-season produce this Friday, April 19th at Mary Hogan Elementary. We will be serving a recipe using this month’s VT Harvest of the Month: CARROTS!

At Mary Hogan, there will be four shifts: one prep shift from 10.45-11.30am, and three serving shifts from 11.30am-12pm, 12-12.30pm, and 12.30-1pm. Please fill out this Google form by Thursday at 5pm if you would like to volunteer for any or all of these shifts!

nom nom nom Taste Test AND Workshop this Friday 4/12!

We are looking for volunteers for two NOM events this Friday, April 12th. The first event is a taste test at Cornwall, and this month we will be serving CARROTS!

At Cornwall, there will be two shifts: one prep shift from 11 – 11:45am, and one data collection and serving shift from 12:45 – 1:30pm. Please fill out this Google form by Thursday at 6pm if you would like to volunteer for either of these Cornwall shifts! Before the taste test, feel free to browse through the Vermont Harvest of the Month Curriculum to learn a little bit more about carrots.

The second event is a cooking workshop at the Teen Center: from 3:30-4:30pm, also this Friday. Please fill out this Google form by Thursday at 6pm if you would like to volunteer for this workshop (feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you’d like, at either/both places)!
