Dear all –

 

while the semester is almost over, Mainz is gearing up for the climax of its favorite ‘5th season’, Fassenacht. Luckily for us, the last day of class is Friday 13 – so everybody in the program is invited to celebrate Rosenmontag (Feb 16)  at the office overlooking the street where the Rosenmontagszug will pass by.

Other events not to miss are the Children’s Parade on Saturday, Feb. 14, and the Parade of the Guards on Sunday, Feb.15.

And: if you happen to see someone asking you to buy a ‘Zuchplackettsche‘ — do so. They produce a different figure every year to finance the Rosemonday Parade.
