The book is a compilation of several student research projects that discusses the Shanghai Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in the context of economic reform in China. The FTZ represents a new era of trade and financial liberalization in China. Themes analyzed throughout the book include foreign banks, American life insurers, money laundering risks, business-government relations, intellectual property rights, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and policy implications.
