We are pleased to announce the launch of the Country Global Citizenship Report Card Project Website at www.countryreportcard.org.

We are distributing this initial announcement of the Report Card site to a select group of policy-makers, thought leaders, NGOs, academic institutions, and businesses that we believe will be interested in our work.

The Report Card Project is a reporting system that assesses the ability of individual countries to function as global citizens, members of a community of nations that work together to solve global problems and uphold shared values. The Report Card scores countries on the degree to which they are signing and implementing existing international conventions, treaties, and agreements and adopting best practice standards that reflect world values.

The website offers a detailed prototype that uses to uses our methodology to rate six countries based on six domains—Human Rights, Environmental Stewardship, Good Governance, Poverty Reduction, Gender Equity, and Global Peace and Justice. Our objective is to provide well researched information that enables stakeholders to hold countries accountable for their global commitments.

The Report Card Project is a collaborative undertaking being implemented by The Global Citizens’ InitiativeMiddlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and Zogby Analytics. We invite you to learn about and also participate in the Report Card by visiting the Project website
