Interested in securing a job on campus this summer?

Students interested in securing a job on campus this summer, please read ALL of the information on the Student Employment Office (SEO) Website at http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/business/seo/summer.

Here are a few high-lights:

Applying for a Job: Jobs will be posted on the SEO website.  Students will need to create an account through the online system if they haven’t already.  It is recommended to set up your account NOW so you will be ready to apply for jobs as they become available.   https://middlebury.peopleadmin.com/

All students hired to work for Middlebury between May 25 and September 9 MUST submit a Summer Student Employment and Housing Agreement to SEO by April 15.  Forms are available on the SEO website.

Employment: Students must complete federally mandated employment paperwork in the Student Employment Office and receive a blue employment card before begin working. You’re not eligible to work until this has been done! See ‘Employment Eligibility’ on the SEO website for additional information: http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/business/seo/eligibility.

All summer jobs must conclude by August 25, the end of summer housing. Job extensions previously approved by the Student Employment Office are the only exceptions (these will be noted on the job posting).

To be eligible for on campus housing students must be employed by Middlebury College and working at least 30 hours per week.

Weekly Charges: On campus housing is $60 per week and covers housing and activities fees. Summer Student Employees will be housed in Stewart and Starr and will be assigned a room based on availability. The summer meal plan is $65 per week from June 13 through August 20 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on the weekend. All student employees housed on campus during this period will be billed for the meal plan. The plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on the weekend. All meals will be served in Proctor Redfield. Students living on campus when a meal plan is not offered (before and after Language Schools) are expected to supply their own meals.

[Note: 2015 graduates may NOT work in a student position and may NOT live in student housing.  Please click on Job Seekers using the Quick Links on the College’s home page to see available staff opportunities.]
