Math for America: Multiple Opportunities for Teaching Fellowships!

math-for-america-logo.gif      Math for America (MƒA) was founded in New York City by a group of business leaders, mathematicians and educators, led by Jim Simons, president of Euclidean Capital and chair of Renaissance Technologies, a private investment firm that uses innovative mathematical methods to make investment decisions.With nearly 850 teachers across our fellowships, besidesNew York City, MfA also operates in Berkeley, Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Utah, and Washington, DC. MƒA creates a community around exceptional educators and works to make teaching an attractive and sustainable career choice for the very best thinkers in the STEM field.

MƒA is beginning its academic year with nearly 800 MƒA teachers and school leaders in New York City, a number that has increased each year since our inception. Now in their 10th year, they are pleased to announce the MfA Exponent program:  three fellowships – Early Career, Master Teacher, and School Leader – to include science teachers and teachers of all grade levels (K-12) within the program. This is a wonderful opportunity in the effort of building a professional community for outstanding mathematics and science educators.
