Spring Internship in Burlington: The Legacy Project

The Legacy Project is a partnership effort aimed to bring the Legacy Action Plan, Burlington’s vision for sustainability in 2030, to life. The Plan, reflective of input from hundreds of community members, is based on five major themes: economy, neighborhoods, youth and life skills, governance, and the environment.

Job Title: Social Media Outreach and Marketing Assistance 

Internship Description: We are looking for an intern to jump start social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, to keep the public updated on the events and happenings surrounding the Legacy Plan. This person would work with several city employees to build a social network for the residents of Burlington to become informed and active in the Legacy Project. This intern would also gather community input to help update the plan and keep the Legacy Project website alive and fresh!

Qualifications/Skills Needed: This intern would need to have knowledge and an understanding about social media networks, setting up professional accounts, and creating public awareness and outreach. In order to work on the website and such it will be necessary to work with “Press Platform.” We are looking for someone who is responsible and enthusiastic about the work we are doing.
