Activate Your Handshake Profile – Week 4 of our #NoFailFall

Your To Do for Week Four:

This #NoFailFall (and all year round), be sure to keep your interests updated!

These are common fields that employers use to search for potential candidates, so including them in your profile is essential to getting recruited.

💡 You can update interests anytime, so don’t worry about changing your mind—it’s natural!

Activate Your Handshake Profile – Week 3 of our #NoFailFall

Your To Do for Week Three:

We’re back with Handshake’s #NoFailFall!

Maybe you took summer courses, or helped organize a food drive for your community.

Add ’em to your Handshake profile to show recruiters what you know — and what you care about!

Have you RSVP’d for the Create Your First College Résumé event on Sept 7th?

Need a résumé to apply for an on-campus job? Or just want to jump start your year with a new résumé? Then come meet the CCI Advisors on Wednesday, September 7th in Crossroads Cafe (in the McCullough Student Center first floor).

Writing your first college résumé may seem daunting, but our advisors make the process easy!

Learn how to turn the experience you gained through academic, co-curricular, community engagement, work, and other experience into a strong Middlebury résumé.

Stop by anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to meet with a CCI Advisor or Peer Career Advisor.

Your new college résumé will help you to:

  • apply for on-campus jobs and other opportunities;
  • apply for future internships;
  • and more!

NOTE If you have one, please bring a copy of your most recent résumé. If you don’t already have a draft, don’t worry! Simply bring a list of activities or a laptop computer so you can review your Common App activity list with an advisor. Brought to you by The Center for Careers and Internships.

Your To Do for Week TWO:

Before you get started applying to roles, attending virtual fairs, and connecting with recruiters, you’ll want to show everybody what you’re made of!

During week two of the Handshake #NoFailFall, add any skills and past work experience — including volunteering + internships — to your profile. These elements can improve your chances of showing up in an employer search.

Pro-tip: you can edit your profile anytime, so keep adding skills, certifications, and work experience to your Handshake profile as you build up your resume over the years.
