Dow Jones News Fund Journalism Conventions – Deadline date to apply – Sunday, August 30

The Dow Jones News Fund invites college students interested in journalism or working for student media to apply for free registration to attend virtual journalism conventions.

The News Fund will provide free registrations to these upcoming conferences:

Applicants should submit this form, which requires a 500-word essay, resume and contact information for one journalistic reference. Deadline to apply for both is Sunday, Aug. 30 at midnight.

As part of their sponsorship, each student will write about their experience, summarize a panel or interview with a fellow journalist at the convention, which may be published on the News Fund website and social media.

One on One Interview with Greg Revelle, CMO of Kohl’s

Greg Revelle is CMO at Kohl’s, a major U.S. retailer with 1,100 stores in 49 states. He is a member of the ANA’s Global Leadership Coalition, in partnership with WARC and Cannes Lions. He spoke to the ANA and WARC about the company’s COVID-19 media mix, adapting creative production to map to quickening changes in consumer trends, and other issues during this unusual time. SENIORS – Group Advising Appointments to discuss searching for Jobs/Internships in Communications

In addition to signing up for 1:1 advising appointments, I’m offering group advising appointments this semester focused on a specific career path. Please continue to check back since we will discuss a different industry during each meeting.

These group advising appointments will be a great opportunity for students to learn more about a specific industry, build a career community, and practice peer to peer learning.
