Sukkot-
Sukkot will be starting this Wednesday! More Jewish holidays! This year, the sukkah will be located outside of FIC, not at the organic garden, to better prepare for HILLEL SLEEPOVER!! On Wednesday, Oct 12 there will be a sleepover in the sukkah! More information will follow, but come hangout, relax, and celebrate Sukkot the biblical way! -If you want to get a sleeping bag, be sure to contact the Mountain Club to check one out.
Parents’ Weekend-
It’s hard to believe, but it is almost Parents’ Weekend! I don’t know about you all, but I know I’m excited to see my mom and dad! We will be having Shabbat services as usual next week, as well as the Bagel Brunch on Sunday, Oct 16 at 11 a.m. No reservation is necessary, but please let Rabbi Ira (ischiffe@middlebury.edu) know how many parents/grandparents/pets/imaginary friends you will be bringing so we’ll have a rough estimate
Hebrew Table-
Good news for all speakers of Hebrew! Hebrew table will be starting up again this week! So if you feel like brushing up on your language skills, head on over Redfield Proctor on Mondays and Wednesday afternoons at 12:20, as well as Tuesday nights at 5:30. Even if the only thing you know how to say is “shalom,” come and say that!
Dance Marathon-
Some of you may still be a little confused about what Dance Marathon is- think of Relay for Life, except dancing for 12 hours instead of walking. To register with Hillel’s team, go to go/dancemarathon and sign up. We’ll prove that Jews are as great dancers as we are daven-ers!
Community Supper-
Havurah will be hosting a Community Supper on November 4 and are looking for some helpers. If you are interested, please email Brenna Kearns to find out more information (bkearns@middlebury.edu).
