Join Brett Story, Filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Image Arts at Ryerson University, giving a talk titled “Cinema toward Future Life.”
Brett Story is a filmmaker and geographer based out of Toronto. She is the author of the book Prison Land: Mapping Carceral Power across Neoliberal America and the director of a number of feature documentary films, including 2016’s The Prison in Twelve Landscapes and the 2019 documentary The Hottest August. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Sundance Documentary Institute, and her films have screened in festivals and theatres around the world.
