STEAM Girls is an initiative started by a couple of Middlebury students, with a professor, to teach various STEM subjects and their intersection with art to young girls around Middlebury. Our goal is to make young girls more comfortable and confident in STEM subjects in the future. We were funded by MiddChallenge a couple of years ago to start a two-summer program and have since grown to establish a weekly after school program as well.
We are looking for two Middlebury students to work August 13-24, 2018. This is a paid full-time position at the Middlebury Parks and Rec. Students receive housing assistance (50%), if needed. We are also looking for people to join our all-student board for the semester. This role requires an average of 3 hours per week and receive a $300 stipend.
