I kind of like the idea of a need-blind presidential election. It would be nice if we could elect a leader based on their true values and aspirations and not on the performance they put on for the media. Obviously, it’s important to be able to be a proficient public speaker, but I feel that too often, America’s decision for leadership is based on trivial characteristics like a candidate’s “down-homeness.”
