Reviewed and confirmed Web Team charge.  The ADs suggested adding a design component to the usability testing and assessment charge in order to ensure that the site has a unified look and feel across the main pages.  This could involve hiring a design consultant if necessary, and will need input from Communications.  Terry as sponsor of the Web Team will discuss with the Team at a meeting in November.

We followed with a fairly lengthy discussion about the staff survey results and the recent open staff meeting.  Mike will be shifting some of his focus from being project-oriented to looking more closely at how we work together across our own organization, as well as across campus.  President Liebowitz has also asked the VPs (in LIS’ case, Tim Spears) to become more active in oversight of their areas.  To that end, Mike and Tim are going to begin attending workgroup/team, etc., meetings within areas to discuss the survey findings face-to-face.  Managers will also be required to take a mandatory management training course through HR.

Mike is meeting with the Board of Trustees on campus today and tomorrow.

This Sunday morning, essential maintenance will be performed on MiddFiles. The maintenance window will be from 6:30 am until 8:00 am. During this period MiddFiles will not be available for two estimated 10 minute periods. The temporary outage will be communicated to all staff.
