Survey question ideas

These don’t really stand on their own, and they need to be revised for clarity, but I hope they’ll help us in our discussion, at least.

    Survey Questions

    (Let’s try this again)

    1. Is there a feature not currently on the LIS webpage that would be beneficial to include?

    2. What frustrates you most about our currrent site?

    3. What feature do you navigate to most?

    4. Is there a link on this page that you feel is no longer needed or used that should be removed?

    5. What are of the college community do you deal with most (fac/staff/student/outside)?

I wonder if we should survey student workers (in addition to LIS staff) this summer? It would be useful to hear student feedback specifically about LIS content, and I’m not sure we’d get much useful feedback if waited til all students returned in the fall. Summer student workers could be reasonably (but not completely) representative of all students. We could design a different survey for them, to get answers from them as end-users.

    1. How often do you use the LIS website? (WHAT IS THE LIS WEBSITE?)
    2. What part of the site do you use most often?
    3. Do users often contact you for information that is available on the website?
    4. Is there information that resides elsewhere that would be useful to direct users to?
    5. What specific areas of the current site do you feel are successful? Why are they successful?
    6. What shortcomings exist with the current site, and what three things would you change on the site today if you could?

I’ve added each of these (and my own) to a survey in Key Survey that we can see in the meeting.
