I’m a Professor of Philosophy at Middlebury College. I received my PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, have an MA degree from the Claremont Graduate School, and a BA from Tulane University of New Orleans. Before coming to Middlebury, I taught at the University of Waterloo and held a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
Outside of philosophy, I love to spend time in or on the water, be it skiing in the Green Mountains, or paddleboarding, sailing, or swimming in Lake Champlain. More often than not, I’m surrounded by dogs. At some point in my life, I will write a treatise on the joys of living with a pack of dogs.
