Lana Povitz joined Kolot in fall 2020. When she is not participating in Torah Study or Saturday morning shabbat services, she is a co-convener of the Kolot Chayeinu Oral History Project and Assistant Professor of History and Jewish Studies at Middlebury College in Vermont. She is the author of Stirrings: How Activist New Yorkers Ignited a Movement for Food Justice and is currently writing a biography of American feminist and writer Shulamith Firestone. Lana divides her time between Vermont, Montreal, and NYC.
