Alex Dobin is a soon-to-be-graduate of Middlebury College, where she studied Political Science and Education Studies (and, less formally, creative writing, religion, and history). She feels lucky to have been involved in this project and grateful for the kindness and openness of the Kolot community, including everyone who shared food, stories, blessings, and different ideas about what life could be like. In particular, Alex is grateful for the meaningful experience of interviewing Cantor Lisa B. Segal for the archive. After a semester of studying oral history and Jewish spirituality, she’s excited to find ways to continue this learning. Post-graduation (in Winter 2023), she’s looking forward to more reading for pleasure, more cooking with friends, more laughter, and more sleep.
