Throughout the spring semester, I simultaneously learned the theory and practice of program design and assessment through readings and in-class discussions and activities while also working with a partner on a project for a community college in Arizona. This project consisted of developing lesson plans for a train-the-trainer civic education program for faculty as well as an assessment piece for faculty and their students. The semester’s work culminated in a comprehensive report and a presentation, pictured below.
