Nine Teams pitched their IDEAS in the DMC’s InnovateAble IDEAS SLAM yesterday in Holland Center.

They’re vying for a chance to present at TEDxMonterey, and maybe even make their IDEAS a reality!

Three students also competed in the SLAM to win the TEDxMonterey student speaker spot.

ONLINE VOTING CLOSES FRIDAY, MARCH 18 @ 5PM

Voting is easy. Here’s how you to participate:

1. Login to the blogging community using your MIIS e-mail username and password. Only registered MIIS community members may rate ideas. We invite everyone (including guests and friends) to post questions, comments and support for ideas and speakers using the comment function.
2. Review the list of 10 ideas and 3 TEDxMonterey Student speaker nominees to your right.
3. Read the pitches, review the Idea Slam videos, and the slides from the pitch presentations
4. Test the 5 star Rating Tool. Use your computer mouse to scroll over the number of stars you want to give the idea, then click. Your rating will be recorded.

5. Rate the ideas and the TEDx nominees. Use the 5 star scale to rate ideas. You can rate as many ideas as you want, but do not need to rate every idea.  Once you rate an idea you cannot undo it.
   • 1 star = LOW
   • 5 stars = HIGH
