IDEA SLAM: Wednesday, March 9, 12-2 pm

IDEA Teams will have 2 1/2 weeks to put together IDEA-Slam presentations! Organizers will review InnovateAble IDEA submissions and connect students, faculty and staff into 3-5 person IDEA Teams.

Are you an IDEA Champion, that posted an idea on the Innovateables Idea Forum?  Your idea may have morphed and evolved since you posted it. You may have spoken to more people.

REGISTER YOUR IDEA – DEADLINE: Weds, March 2, 5:00pm
To move your idea forward to the Idea Slam on March 9th, you need to register your IDEA and your IDEA Team for the Slam.

PREPARING YOUR PITCH
Each IDEA Team will create a Pecha Kucha-style presentation of their InnovateAble IDEA.  Pecha Kucha is a 20 slide presentation, where each slide is displayed for 20 seconds. The focus is concise creativity. Read a WIRED article about this presentation style to learn more.  Your idea should be able to be expressed in its entirety through this presentation, you won’t need anything more.

The IDEA SLAM event will be held on March 9 from 12:00 – 2:00pm in the Monterey Institute Holland Center.  The IDEA-Slam is where you’ll sell your idea to the MIIS community.  We’ll bring the audience, you bring your inspired pitch!
