Feminist scholarship and gender studies are under attack from right-wing politicians around the world. That’s why this year’s Gensler Family Symposium is about “Feminism, Fascism & the Future.” Come hear some of the world’s leading experts on how fascism is creating an enemy of gender studies, feminism, and LGBTQ rights in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. And even get a chance to listen to a new podcast about “Feminism, Fascism & the Future.”
Annually hosted by the GSFS Program with support from the Feminist Resource Center at Chellis, the Gensler Family Symposium on Feminism in the Global Arena was founded in 2007 by the Gensler Family Foundation and explores the world’s most pressing issues through a feminist lens. See “Past Topics” for more information about previous Gensler Symposia. This year’s Gensler is co-sponsored by International and Global Studies Tracks in Latin America and Russian and Eastern European Studies//European Studies.
