Caught between sanctions and revolts, can regional economies survive?

The deterioration of political conditions always negatively affects the economy, but a combination of American and European sanctions on Iran coupled with the escalation of bloody violence in Syria and the unrest in Egypt, such as the latest football stadium carnage in Port Said, and the rise of Islamist governments, will have deep and varied repercussions on the regional economies in the Middle East.
