Here I will update my findings during my six month assignment in Beirut. My primary role here is to assess the feasibility of the Village Capital accelerator program here in Lebanon, and the greater Levant. All of my posts will have to do with my professional assignment here, and only rarely will I insert my own commentary; whether it be political or cultural in nature.
VilCap is currently looking for Beirut support organizations, business mentors, and marketing partners as well as grant makers and co-investors.
July 2011, the Frontier Market Scouts began similar programs in Sao Paolo, Brazil; Coca, Ecuador; and Cairo, Egypt. These are in addition to previous deployments in Lagos, Nigeria; Hanoi, Vietnam; Dar el Salam, Tanzania; and Mumbai, India.
