[:en]When I first started using XTRF this semester in my TMS class. It was a great relieve to me. After bearing with some really user-unfriendly interface of a TMS for quite a while, I was so glad that we can finally move to another better-looking one, which is XTRF.

Interface
The developing team of xtrf knows so well about its users. They know what users want to see and what they want not. The interface is pretty elegantly designed, which is what I like most. Imagine if you have to work with a tms for hours a day, at least it’s something pleasing to eyes. The interface is just intuitive. It saves me a lot of trouble of looking around trying to find what I want. It’s easy to get to where you want.

Different portals
The other thing I like about xtrf is the different portals for different roles, which is super cool. It has portals for PMs, clients and vendors. Each side can do their own part while still being part of something big.
For PMs, XTRF can significantly improve their efficiency. A lot of things are automated in xtrf, like workflow, project order creation. This saves PMs a lot time and energy. Meanwhile PMs can keep track of the projects with the help of Gantt.
For clients, it helps with transparency and communications. With the help of a client portal, clients can now log in to keep track of the latest progress of their own projects without constantly bothering PMs for project status. They can also request quote directly on their own portal, even with files uploaded to get a detailed project-specific quote rather than something one-fits-all.
For vendors, XTRF just saves them troubles of being bothered or even harassed by unnecessary assignments. It’s like a filter screening out assignments which do not fit in with their time schedule and their rates. Simply setting up their availability and rates on their portals, vendors can now be more focused on their work without being distracted by overflowing assignment emails.

Integration
XTRFis such a powerful tool that it offers integration with the most commonly used systems. Be it MemoQ, Tradox, Logoport and etc., XTRF can be integrated with all of them. This ends up in saving not only time but also cost. Users can still stick to their previous familiar systems without getting a new one and spending some time adapting to it. It can also avoid sending files across different platform. There is no need for additional training (This is an important factor to consider when it comes to large companies).

Automation
One thing that almost every LSP cares about is automation which is directly linked to efficiency. In XTRF, not only project workflow can be automated, but also document flow and project order creation. This can significantly reduce repeated manual work and boost efficiency. Workflow is probably one of the greatest parts of XTRF. While workflows are critical to operational efficiency. If done correctly, customizable workflows can put your translation processes on autopilot. In XTRF, Workflows is easy to use and customizable. This can significantly streamline the whole process. Users can set up their own workflows with the help of templates, adding or editing the part they need. Meanwhile it is also visualized. This means PMs can have a quick idea of the project progress with just a glimpse of eyes.

Cloud-based.
XTRF features a web-based platform. So long as users have internet connection, they can access their files and projects on XTRF. This access allows users to store, track and manage their content across different applications and deliver continuous and integrated translation in real time.
With all these shining features, XTRF manages to enable a smooth and timely carryout of a project. It streamflow the whole process and simplify communications between different sides. Even though the hassle now for a beginner like me who tried all three portals to get the hang of it is to remember all these account names and passwords, I have to admit that I kind of enjoy using it.
