This article is about the “Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences”, an organization dedicated to educating Vermonters of all ages. The article covers many different areas the institute works in, such as wildlife rescue and different environmental skills and knowledge. The focus is on education and from an environmental perspective they focus on interactions with nature and human dependence on the natural environment. The article definitely feels like one trying to convey those environmental values of respect. It’s unclear how much duty there is for humans other than not to mess things up, but it’s also a short article to be able to get into the nuances of the interdependence with nature. This is another example that when the focus of the article is on environmentalism but through some kind of research or educational institution the theme tends to include people. With the right values of nature will emerge organically the right relationship to it.
