Canvas

The Academic Cyberinfrastructure Transformation Team (ACCT) recently received confirmation that the adoption of Canvas LMS was approved and budgeted for the upcoming fiscal year.

In the Meantime

While you won’t be able to create course pages in Canvas until July 1, you may request a sandbox space via the below form to start building and get familiarized with the platform. We encourage anyone who is interested to make use of this option – a number of self-paced training resources are provided below. DLC staff can assist you in migrating content from your sandbox to a course site come August – feel free to book a 1:1 or small group Canvas consultation with us.

Facilitated Training Opportunities

The DLC and our colleagues in the Office of the Associate Provost for Digital Learning are creating additional resources to orient the Institute community to Canvas and provide support during the transition. The DLC is planning to offer workshops and virtual training opportunities beginning in August. Stay tuned, and be sure to check the weekly Institute e-newsletter for updates.
