Amy Michelle Slay is an instructional designer and curricular technology enthusiast. After completing her BA in Communication and German in 2011, she moved to Vienna and worked with international organizations such as the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization and the World Institute for Nuclear Security on the design and roll out of blended and online courses. These experiences solidified her belief in the affordances of technology in relation to education and social change and prompted her to pursue advanced degrees. She entered the Institute’s dual Public Administration and International Education Management MA program in 2013. While she was a student, Amy worked as a Graduate Assistant at the DLC, specializing in curricular technology and providing technical support and training to faculty and students involved in blended, hybrid, and online course development. In her current role as a Digital Learning Specialist, Amy works with faculty to create online courses, supports digital learning projects and initiatives, and offers training on curricular technology tools and platforms.
