This is a screenshot of a website that Ratang Sedimo created with Professor Kirsten Hoving for her class on Photography and the Environment. The website functioned both as a discussion forum for the class and an information portal. They used Scalar to create this website, which is a free online digital publishing platform. The duration of the project was about 3 weeks. The biggest challenge we ran into was uploading media into the site as Scalar has a small media size allowance. What I liked most when working on this project was changing the original theme to one that was much more pleasant to view the site in. To do this, we had to contact the developers of Scalar. After the changing the theme, the site was totally transformed. I learned a lot about website development and got to appreciate the challenges associated with website development.
