Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:

Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Lots of activity
• ILL and NExpress picking up
• Lots of student subbing
• September search list searched
• Fixed “Copy 97” issue on Armstrong reserve books (See below)
Davis Family:
• New student training
• Fall break student schedule is full
• Pace at the desk has slowed from manic to manageable
• Media Screening student IDs working well
• Charged all cameras
• Met with Rebekah about the browsing collection plans
• Training new circ sub – she has taken a few shifts already
• Locking classrooms at night
Stacks:
• Two upcoming projects
o VHS shift
o Browsing collection / graphic novel shift
• Shelving students are great (as opposed to how great it is to shelve students)
Reserves:
• Slowing down
• Checking ERes links
• Following up on straggler recalls
• Creating havoc

Web team: Next steps: usability and user needs studies
Space Team: n/a

Challenges:
• Kicked someone out of their carrel for having a reserve book stored there overnight, overdue
• iPad double booked
• Students escorted out by Middlebury Police Sunday (no further details)
• Camera went out not charged, patron upset
• DVD repair machine clogged – fixed
• Everything on reserve accidentally given copy number 97. Fixed, for the most part
