Librarians are on duty at the Main Library when school is in session. The on duty librarian will post a large red LIBRARIAN ON DUTY sign – main floor, south side.
Afternoon hours Sun – Thurs 1- 5 pm and Fri 1 – 4 pm
In addition, Librarians have scheduled hours at the Special Collection desk Sun – Wed 7 – 10 pm
(sorry – no Sunday hours during Winter Term)
Mornings and all other times – call x5496 or contact them at go/askalibrarian

Is this true during J-term? I was not able to find or get a hold of anyone on Sunday.
Dan – Sorry no, we’re not providing ref coverage on weekends during j-term. Our stats couldn’t justify it. Many of us do check email on weekends, so researchers are invited to write to us when we’re not in the library. On the new web site, that’ll be easier to do, as you know (“Ask a librarian” sidebar).
