Workgroups(s); Circulation Services – Circulation, Reserves and Stacks…
• Nov and Dec break library hours posted
• Mill Circ: system parameters adjusted for web requesting
• Paging Services for on-campus borrowers – changes effective Oct 1st
• Staffing: Rotation coverage continues – ARMS and MUSIC covering Main, working through day duties; bi-weekly meeting scheduled for Circ. Manager and Reserves Coordinator
• Student employees: Training quizzes completed by all of Music and all of Main Students (and corrections returned to them); ARMS working on correcting training quizzes
• LIS Website Team: New LIS blog launched; developing Landing Page; Drupal training; workflow discussions
• Main: Beginning of midterms, busy evenings, microfilm busy with History class project, increase in reference questions at Circ
• Music: Working on new web page for Music Library, monthly stats/lists collected, searching “to be replaced” list
• Armstrong: Very busy library, pre-break lots of ILL/NExpress requests, constant printing, CTO day by Armstrong Staff,
• Stacks: Tour of Main Library to ARMS Circ Staff
• Reserves: Reserves backlog caught up; Ironed out procedure for Hirschfield screenings
• Attended online session: SirsiDynix Docutek ERes 5.6.1 Webinar
• Circ web pages: Borrowing documentation moved to LIS wiki from CMS; completing web makeover workbook
• Preparing for Dartmouth College October Conference presentation on Fall ’08 Tasty Tech Tools brown bag series
• October, Nov and Dec break library hours posted
• Billing and replacement of long unreturned materials

Challenges
• Still adjusting to the new schedule and routine at Main
• Wireless issues, many requests for cables (firmly rebuffed)
• Frequently out of LCD projectors and firewire drives
• Staffing down because of illness and vacation, students out because of illness (though thankfully other students stepping in to cover)
• ARMS moving stacks still broken in bound periodical section, Systematics expected at the end of the week.
• Monthly report: 22 pages – lots of materials with missing statuses.
• Another retirement looming large 🙁
• Student employees: Low participation in Ref training; multiple reminders needed to complete mandatory training quiz, major peak in substitute/schedule changes due to upcoming break and mid-terms; some gaps in schedule; following up on attendance issues
