Olivia Bravo ’20 is working with the Friends Committee on National Legislation to bring a delegation of young adults to D.C. for “Spring Lobby Weekend,” an event held to introduce young people to advocacy and lobbying in Washington D.C. She asked me to share the info below:
Every year there is a topic that we will lobby on and this year it is climate change. The dates are Saturday, March 28 to Tuesday, March 31 in Washington, D.C.
This spring will be an especially pivotal time in D.C. Join us this March and make your voice heard! Listen, learn, and act to address climate change. We will tell Congress that a price on carbon is a crucial first step to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent injustices related to climate change—both in the U.S. and abroad.
