The Center for Careers and Internships, Middlebury Women on Wall Street, and the Student Investment Committee invite students planning to begin their careers in investment banking or consulting to this session led by Maggie Caputi ’16 of Amity Search Partners on Thursday, April 13th at 5:00 p.m.
Amity represents upwards of 50 firms each year and places over 100 analyst-level candidates annually in a wide range of industry leading private equity firms (buyout funds, venture capital, and growth equity), hedge funds (special situations, long/short, distressed, event-driven and activist) and asset management firms (sovereign wealth funds and family offices).
In order to stay in touch, Maggie would like to collect resumes from interested juniors and seniors — especially anyone going into banking/consulting/investing jobs. Please submit via this link before April 12 at 11:55 p.m. Seniors who have accepted banking/consulting/investing jobs — please make sure to note this on your resume by listing the company/group/location of where they will be working on your resume.In her session on April 13, Maggie will discuss how to navigate the buy-side recruiting process coming out of Middlebury or investment banking and/or management consulting programs. The target audience for this session is juniors and seniors pursuing IB and/or consulting who want to understand the buy-side recruiting process. Of course, forward-thinking first years and sophomores are welcome to attend.

Project work includes: environmental regulatory analysis, litigation involving air, water, and hazardous waste issues, public policy development, natural resource damage assessments, and financial accounting.
Located in Cambridge, MA, IEc works with federal agencies, state and local agencies, non-governmental and advocacy organizations, tribes, and private entities and industry organizations to provide analytically-based solutions to environmentally-focused questions.

Case Competition with UPenn and Capital One
Consult for America at the University of Pennsylvania is partnering with Capital One’s Corporate Strategy and Business Analyst programs to host a nationwide business case competition.
The case competition will take place virtually from April 13th to April 22nd, 2023. All undergraduate students may enter in teams of 3-5, and there are cash prizes of up to $8750 available. Individual entries are also encouraged and participants will be matched to a team. During the competition, there will be numerous opportunities for students to learn more about Capital One through leadership Q&As, coffee chat opportunities, networking and information sessions, and more.

Business Council for International Understanding job opening via alum
The Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) is a nonpartisan, U.S.-based organization that works to expand international trade and commerce. It does this by helping its member companies engage internationally and by facilitating mutually beneficial relationships between business and government leaders worldwide.
They are hiring immediately for full-time Program Coordinator and Fellow positions in New York and Washington (or, potentially, from a remote location (e.g. London / Brussels / Dubai / Singapore). The new hires will work at the intersection where senior officials and FORTUNE 1000 business leaders interact to form partnerships which solve last-mile challenges. BCIU is a non-profit 501c3 organization incorporated in New York as the result of a White House initiative of President Eisenhower’s in 1955 to promote people-to-people ties.

Climate Change touches everything, but it can be hard to know how to match your interests, skills, and passions up as you consider your career.
This two-day UpNext: Climate Careers program seeks to demystify the many existing and developing climate careers and sectors. The event is open to all students in all majors.
Through this panel discussion and networking reception (as well as small group discussions on Friday, March 31st), students will get an insider’s understanding of the opportunities, available career paths, and roles and skills necessary to enter future jobs and internships.
Panelists will talk about current and emerging trends shaping opportunities to work on climate change and their implications. Students also get a first-hand look into the personal career paths of participating alumni.
