This week’s presentation: Mandarin 1A: Week 4
你好吗？ （Nǐ hǎo ma?）
我很好！(Wǒ hén hǎo)
我非常好！(Wǒ fēi cháng hǎo)
我挺好的！(Wǒ tíng hǎo de)
我还不错， 你呢？(Wǒ hái bú cùo, nǐ ne?)
For homework:
- Ask Chinese speakers “你是美国人吗 ?/ nǐ shì Měigúorén ma? AND 你是中国人吗?/nǐ shì Zhōngguórén ma？” and take note of their responses. Write the responses down in the best pinyin you can come up with!
- Review stroke order rules, focusing on the 6 we discussed in class. Please take a look at the flashcards and character paper I gave you in class! Please note: these handouts have materials from the next dialogue in them so you can begin to approach these new words!
- IMPORTANT: Focus on one character from the most recent dialogue and explain to the class how you can remember it. If no one has time to do this, we will work together to do this in class next week!
- Continue to look at the following resources:
- ArchChinese Character Dictionary with stroke order explanation and character type explanation.
- Skritter.com for character practice (small monthly fee)
- Animated story for characters 人，大 and 天 at New Concept Mandarin.
- Online Tone Drill program for your own practice!
Hand in your character worksheets next week if you want them looked at for correction and/or advice.
