The Bob Smith Era has been arguably the most successful and consistent stretch of Baseball in Middlebury’s long history. Bob “Smitty” Smith is the longest tenured coach in Middlebury Baseball’s almost 150 year history. Through a period that has included a change from the ECAC conference into the NESCAC, an almost entirely new schedule with new competition, and an evolving student-athlete recruiting process with NCAA rules and regulations becoming stricter by the minute, Bob Smith has seamlessly led Middlebury Baseball into the modern era of College Baseball over the last 30 years.
